Description

Uses:
Istamet D-XR 500 Tablet is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps in:

• Controlling high blood sugar levels

• Improving insulin sensitivity

• Reducing glucose reabsorption in kidneys (Dapagliflozin effect)

• Supporting overall glycemic control when diet, exercise, and other medications are insufficient

• Reducing the risk of diabetes-related complications

Dosage:
The usual recommended dose is one tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the doctor. Dosage may be adjusted based on blood sugar levels, kidney function, and patient response.

How to Use:
Take the tablet orally with water, preferably with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew as it is extended-release.

Precaution:

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver problems, heart conditions, or a history of lactic acidosis.
