Prolomet T 25 Tablet ER

Description

Prolomet T 25 Tablet ER is a combination of Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker. This medicine is primarily prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). By combining two different mechanisms, it helps relax blood vessels, lower heart rate, and improve blood circulation, thereby reducing the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Uses:

• Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Protection against heart attack and stroke

• Prevention of kidney damage in hypertensive patients

How to Use:
Take the tablet as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily. Swallow whole with water, do not crush or chew. It may be taken with or without food.

Dosage:
The dose is individualized based on the patient’s blood pressure levels and medical condition. Do not stop or change the dose without consulting your doctor.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, diabetes, asthma, or heart problems.

• Avoid alcohol, as it may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect.

• Sudden discontinuation may cause rebound hypertension or worsening of heart conditions.

Side Effects:

• Rare: chest pain, breathing difficulty, swelling of face/lips (angioedema)
