Description

Fiximac 200 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, throat, and lungs. It contains Cefixime (200mg), a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by stopping the growth and multiplication of bacteria. This helps in effectively clearing infections and improving symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough, and pain caused by bacterial activity.

Uses:

• Treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT)

• Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Typhoid fever and other systemic bacterial infections

• Gonorrhea and other sexually transmitted infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Dosage:
The usual recommended dose for adults is one tablet (200mg) once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the infection. Dosage and duration should be determined by your doctor. Do not stop the medication early, even if symptoms improve, as incomplete treatment may cause recurrence of infection.

How to Use:
Take Fiximac 200 Tablet with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water—do not crush or chew. Try to take it at the same time each day for consistent results.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver problems, or a history of allergies to antibiotics.

• Avoid taking it with alcohol.

• Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only under medical supervision.

• Complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better early, to avoid antibiotic resistance.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, or headache.
