MEXate 2.5 Tablet

Description

MEXate 2.5 Tablet is used in the treatment of certain cancers such as breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma, as well as autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and Crohn’s disease. It works by slowing down the growth of rapidly dividing cells and suppressing the immune system to reduce inflammation and prevent disease progression.

Dosage
Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a week, not daily. The dosage and duration depend on your condition and response to treatment. Taking more than the recommended dose can lead to serious or even life-threatening side effects.

How to Use
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Take it on the same day each week to maintain a regular schedule. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. If you miss a dose, contact your doctor immediately — do not take a double dose.

Precautions
Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, or lung disease. Avoid alcohol, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Women should avoid pregnancy during and after treatment, as Methotrexate can cause birth defects or harm the unborn baby. Regular blood tests are required to monitor your liver, kidney, and blood cell counts.

Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, mouth ulcers, and mild hair loss. Serious side effects may include liver damage, lung inflammation, infections, and low blood cell count. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience fever, shortness of breath, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual bleeding.
