Description
Diapride DM 1 Forte Tablet is a triple combination anti-diabetic medicine used for the effective management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It combines Dapagliflozin (10mg), Glimepiride (1mg), and Metformin (1000mg)—each targeting high blood sugar through different mechanisms to achieve superior glycemic control.
-
Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, helps the kidneys eliminate excess glucose through urine.
-
Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea, increases insulin secretion from the pancreas.
-
Metformin, a biguanide, lowers hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
This combination helps reduce both fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels, promotes weight control, and reduces the risk of long-term diabetic complications such as neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, and cardiovascular disease.
Diapride DM 1 Forte is usually prescribed when dual therapy (such as Metformin with Glimepiride) is not sufficient to achieve blood sugar control.
