Acivir Cream

Description

Uses:

• Treats cold sores (herpes labialis) on lips and face

• Reduces burning, tingling, pain, and itching

• Helps blisters heal faster

• Limits spread of infection

Dosage:

• Apply 5 times a day or as directed by your doctor

• Duration usually 5–10 days

How to use:

• Wash hands before and after applying

• Apply a thin layer on the affected area

• Start treatment at the first sign (burning/tingling) for best results

• Avoid touching/blowing on sores to prevent spread

• Do not apply inside nose, eyes, or mouth

Precautions:

• Use on skin only

• Avoid use if skin is broken or severely irritated

• Not recommended without advice during pregnancy/breastfeeding

• Avoid close contact (kissing) when sores are active

• Do not share the tube with others

Side effects:

• Mild burning or stinging

• Dryness or flaking of skin

• Redness or irritation

• Rare: allergic rash or swelling
