Description
Monit GTN 6.4 Tablet CR is used to prevent and manage angina (chest pain) caused by reduced blood supply to the heart. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, reducing the heart’s workload and improving oxygen supply. The CR (controlled release) formulation ensures slow, steady release of the medicine throughout the day.
Uses:

Prevention of angina (chronic chest pain)

Improves blood flow to the heart

Reduces pressure/load on the heart

Useful in coronary artery disease
Dosage:

Usually one tablet once or twice daily (as per doctor advice)

Maintain a nitrate-free interval (usually 10–12 hours) to prevent tolerance

Follow doctor-prescribed schedule strictly
How to Use:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
-
Do NOT crush, chew, or break (CR release will be affected)

Can be taken with or without food

Take at the same time daily for best results
Precautions:

Avoid alcohol (can cause severe low BP & fainting)

Avoid use with erectile dysfunction medicines (sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil) — dangerous BP drop

Inform doctor if you have:

Low blood pressure

Severe anemia

Recent head injury

Glaucoma

Heart valve problems

May cause dizziness — avoid driving initially

Stand up slowly from sitting/lying position
