Description

Uses

• Main use: Controls high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Helps prevent complications like heart attack, stroke, kidney damage.

• Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels; Chlorthalidone removes excess salt & water.

Dosage

• Usually one tablet once daily, as prescribed.

• Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

• Do not stop medicine suddenly without doctor advice.

How to Use

• Swallow tablet with water.

• Continue even if BP becomes normal.

• Monitor BP regularly.

Precautions

• Avoid if pregnant or planning pregnancy.

• Use cautiously in kidney disease, liver disease, dehydration.

• Inform doctor if taking: other BP medicines, diuretics, lithium, NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen).

• May increase urination due to chlorthalidone.

Side Effects

Common:

• Dizziness

• Tiredness

• Increased urination

• Low blood pressure

• Dry mouth

Less common:

• Low potassium or sodium

• Muscle cramps

• Kidney function changes

If severe dizziness, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs → seek medical help.
