Description

SiTaxa M XR 50+500 Tablet ER is an extended-release combination anti-diabetic medication containing Sitagliptin and Metformin. Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormone activity, enhancing insulin secretion and reducing post-meal glucose production. Metformin, a biguanide, decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity.
The extended-release (ER) formulation ensures gradual release of metformin, reducing gastrointestinal side effects and providing better blood sugar control throughout the day. It is indicated for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, or monotherapy is insufficient.
