Description

SitaXA DM 10/100/500 Tablet ER is an extended-release combination anti-diabetic medicine containing Dapagliflozin, Metformin, and Sitagliptin. Dapagliflozin (SGLT2 inhibitor) lowers blood sugar by promoting glucose excretion through urine. Metformin (biguanide) decreases liver glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. Sitagliptin (DPP-4 inhibitor) enhances incretin hormone activity, increasing insulin secretion and reducing post-meal glucose production.
The extended-release (ER) formulation ensures gradual release of metformin, reducing gastrointestinal side effects while providing effective blood sugar control throughout the day. This combination is used for adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, or dual therapy alone is insufficient.
