Uses:
ATORlip 40 Tablet is prescribed for:

• Hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol)

• Mixed dyslipidemia (high cholesterol and triglycerides)

• Prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients
  It helps lower LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), reduce triglycerides, and increase HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol), thereby reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

How it Works:
Atorvastatin belongs to the statin class of drugs. It inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol production in the liver, reducing LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while preventing plaque buildup in arteries.

Dosage:
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily, with or without food.

How to Use:
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Preferably take it at the same time each day for consistent effect.

Precautions:

• Avoid use if you have active liver disease or allergy to statins

• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding

• Limit alcohol intake

• Regular monitoring of liver function tests and lipid profile is advised

Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, mild stomach upset, muscle pain, or dizziness. Rarely, serious side effects like liver problems or severe muscle pain (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) may occur. Seek medical attention if severe.
