How Nicardia XL 60 Works
Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker. It reduces calcium entry into the muscles of blood vessels, causing them to relax and widen.
This improves blood flow and lowers the pressure against the artery walls. In angina, it also helps improve blood supply to the heart muscle.
Dosage & How to Use
Take Nicardia XL 60 exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not crush, chew, or break the extended-release tablet.
- It can generally be taken with or without food.
- Take it at the same time each day.
- Do not stop treatment without medical advice.
