Description
CIPDAPLA 5 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin Propanediol Monohydrate 5mg per tablet and is a prescription medicine primarily used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Mechanism of Action
Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It acts by blocking the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, thereby preventing the reabsorption of glucose from the urine back into the bloodstream. This results in the excretion of excess glucose through urine, lowering blood sugar levels independently of insulin action.
