Ambrodil-S Syrup

Description

Ambrodil-S Syrup is a combination cough medicine that provides relief from productive (wet) cough with breathing difficulty. It contains:

• Ambroxol – a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to expel.

• Salbutamol – a bronchodilator that relaxes the airway muscles and widens the airways, making breathing easier.

This dual action makes Ambrodil-S effective in treating cough associated with bronchitis, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

• Relief from productive cough with thick mucus

• Treatment of bronchitis and asthma with mucus congestion

• Supportive therapy in respiratory tract infections

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea, vomiting, or stomach discomfort

• Headache, dizziness

• Dry mouth or throat irritation

• Tremors or nervousness (due to salbutamol)

• Increased heartbeat (palpitations)

Serious but rare side effects:

• Severe allergic reaction (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Irregular heartbeat or chest pain

• Severe drop or rise in blood pressure

Precautions

• Should be used under doctor’s supervision in children and adults

• Caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, liver or kidney impairment

• Avoid alcohol as it may worsen dizziness or drowsiness

• Do not combine with other bronchodilators or cough suppressants unless prescribed
