Description

Candidox 1% Cream is a topical antifungal formulation containing Ciclopirox (1% w/w), a broad-spectrum antifungal agent effective against both dermatophytes and yeasts, including Candida albicans. Ciclopirox works by interfering with essential enzymes in fungal cells, preventing their growth and replication, and thereby eliminating infection.

Unlike some other antifungal creams, Ciclopirox is also effective against certain bacteria and has anti-inflammatory properties, making it highly beneficial in treating complicated fungal infections. Candidox 1% Cream is commonly prescribed for skin infections, nail infections (as part of therapy), and seborrheic dermatitis.

Uses

Treatment of dermatophytosis (ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch)
Management of cutaneous candidiasis (yeast infections of skin folds)
Relief from seborrheic dermatitis (red, scaly patches on skin/scalp)
Useful in fungal infections resistant to other antifungals
Supportive treatment in onychomycosis (fungal nail infection), often with oral antifungals

Dosage & Directions for Use

Clean and dry the affected area before application.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the infected skin and surrounding area.
Use once or twice daily or as prescribed by a dermatologist.
Continue treatment for the full course, even if symptoms improve early, to prevent recurrence.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.
