Description

Flucort Skin Lotion is a low-potency topical corticosteroid containing Fluocinolone acetonide (0.01% w/v). It is specially formulated in a lotion base, making it lightweight, non-greasy, and suitable for use on large surface areas or hair-bearing regions like the scalp where creams and ointments may not spread easily.

The lower concentration makes it appropriate for treating mild inflammatory skin conditions or for use in sensitive areas, under medical supervision.

Uses

• Treatment of mild eczema and atopic dermatitis

• Relief from seborrheic dermatitis, including scalp dandruff and itching

• Management of allergic skin reactions

• Control of pruritus (itching) due to inflammation

• Supportive care in psoriasis (mild cases)

Dosage & Directions for Use

• Apply a thin layer of lotion to the affected area 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor

• Gently massage into the skin or scalp until absorbed

• Avoid applying to open wounds, eyes, or mucous membranes

• Do not use on face, underarms, or groin unless prescribed

• Limit duration of treatment to short-term use

Possible Side Effects

Common:

• Temporary burning, stinging, or irritation at the site of application

• Mild skin dryness

Less common but serious (with prolonged use):

• Thinning of the skin

• Stretch marks (striae)

• Discoloration or acne-like eruptions

• Risk of secondary skin infections
