Description

ESCIPIL-20 contains Escitalopram 20 mg per tablet (alu-alu pack) and is used for the treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders under clinical supervision.

How ESCIPIL-20 Works

Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that enhances serotonin levels in the brain, helping reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety by restoring emotional balance.

Uses of ESCIPIL-20

• Major depressive disorder (MDD)

• Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

• Social anxiety disorder

• Panic disorder

• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Dosage and Administration

• 20 mg once daily, can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

• Dose is usually started at 10 mg/day and increased to 20 mg/day based on clinical response; not to exceed 20 mg/day.

• Elderly or those with liver impairment: maximum recommended dose 10 mg/day.

• Inform the doctor about all other medications to avoid serious interactions, especially with drugs prolonging QT interval or other serotonergic agents.
