How FAROSPECT-200 Works

Faropenem destroys bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, binding to penicillin-binding proteins, and blocking the formation of peptidoglycan—a key structural component of bacterial cell walls. It is active against aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is highly stable against most beta-lactamase enzymes.
