Description

Damita M 5mg/500mg Tablet ER is a combination medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains Dapagliflozin (5mg), an SGLT2 inhibitor, and Metformin (500mg), a biguanide. Together, they help regulate blood sugar levels by complementary mechanisms: dapagliflozin removes excess glucose via urine, while metformin lowers glucose production in the liver and improves insulin utilization by the body. The extended-release (ER) formulation ensures a steady release of the drug, minimizing gastric discomfort often associated with metformin.
