Description

FUNTIME XT contains tadalafil 20 mg, a potent oral medication for erectile dysfunction. Tadalafil is used by adult men to achieve and maintain reliable erections for sexual activity.

How FUNTIME XT Works

• Tadalafil is a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor.

• During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released, leading to increased cyclic GMP (cGMP) in the penis. cGMP relaxes smooth muscle and allows greater blood flow into the corpus cavernosum.

• PDE5 normally breaks down cGMP, ending the erection. Tadalafil blocks PDE5, allowing cGMP levels to remain higher—resulting in easier, firmer, and longer-lasting erections.

• Tadalafil’s longer duration (half-life: ~17.5 hours) allows for effectiveness up to 36 hours after a dose, earning it the nickname “weekend pill”.

• Sometimes used in benign prostatic hyperplasia and pulmonary arterial hypertension (not main indication for the 20 mg dose).
