Oflomac 400 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that contains Ofloxacin (400mg) as its active ingredient. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. These include infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, skin, soft tissues, gastrointestinal tract, and certain sexually transmitted infections.
Ofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial replication, transcription, and repair. This action stops the growth of infection-causing bacteria, thereby helping the body’s immune system eliminate the infection.
