The Founders
Rising from a small village in Sangrur, Sardar Yadwinder Singh and Sardar Balwinder Singh dared to do something never done before in their area. After many startup ideas, they selected their biggest mission: to create Public Pharmacy, providing medicines door-to-door at affordable prices.
Both founders, from middle-class backgrounds, wanted to build something for their community and themselves—hence the name “Public Pharmacy,” a symbol of community pride.
After graduation, Sardar Balwinder Singh joined digital marketing in Mohali, while Sardar Yadwinder Singh pursued a master’s in Psychology. But neither found true satisfaction in their jobs. A chance meeting on a bus sparked a new idea. The next day, they met in their village to plan, and started acting without hesitation.
They tackled challenges such as legal documentation and delivery logistics and finally launched Public Pharmacy—the platform you see today. Every order fulfills their dream of changing lives for the better.
