Aerocort Rotacap

Description

Aerocort Rotacap is a combination medicine used for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps in relieving and preventing symptoms like wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath by opening up the airways and reducing inflammation.

The medicine contains two active components:

• Levosalbutamol (100mcg): A bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways, allowing more air to pass through and making breathing easier.

• Beclometasone (100mcg): A corticosteroid that reduces swelling and irritation in the lungs, helping to prevent asthma attacks and maintain clear breathing passages.

Aerocort Rotacaps are intended for use with a Rotahaler device, which delivers the medicine directly to the lungs for fast and effective action.

Usage & Directions:

• Use the Rotacaps only with a Rotahaler as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not swallow the capsule — it is meant for inhalation only.

• Inhale the full dose in one breath and rinse your mouth afterward to avoid fungal infections.

• Do not stop using the medication abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. Keep the capsules in the original blister pack until use.

Precautions:

• Not for emergency relief during acute asthma attacks.

• Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, tuberculosis, or viral infections.

• Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical supervision.
