Alaspan AG Syrup

Description

Uses:
Alaspan AG Syrup is a combination medicine used for relief from cough, cold, chest congestion, and allergic symptoms.

• Loratadine: An antihistamine that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and itching.

• Guaifenesin: An expectorant that loosens mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out.

• Ambroxol: A mucolytic agent that thins and clears phlegm from the respiratory tract.

This combination is helpful in conditions like allergic cough, bronchitis, chest congestion, and respiratory tract infections with excessive mucus.

Dosage:

• Dose should be taken as directed by the physician.

• Usually given 2–3 times a day depending on age and severity.

• Use the measuring cup/spoon provided; do not use household spoons.

• Shake the bottle well before use.

Precautions:

• Not recommended for children below the age prescribed by the doctor (usually avoided in infants).

• Use with caution in patients with asthma, liver disease, kidney disease, or heart problems.

• Avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness and dizziness.

• Pregnant and breastfeeding women should take only under medical advice.

• Inform the doctor about all ongoing medications, especially other cough/cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives.

Possible Side Effects:

• Common: Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, stomach upset, nausea.

• Less common: Palpitations, nervousness, rash, difficulty sleeping.

• Rare/serious: Breathing difficulty, severe allergic reaction — seek immediate medical help if these occur.
