Uses:

Controls high blood pressure (hypertension)

Treats angina (chest pain)

Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels; Atenolol slows heart rate

Helps reduce strain on the heart and prevents complications
Dosage:

Usually once daily or as advised by the doctor

Dose adjustments may be needed based on BP and heart rate
-
Not recommended to stop suddenly (can raise BP or heart rate)
How to use:

Take at the same time each day
-
Swallow whole with water; can be taken with or without food
-
Continue even if you feel normal — high BP often has no symptoms

Keep monitoring BP regularly
Precautions:

Inform doctor if you have asthma, COPD, low heart rate, heart block, or liver problems

Can cause dizziness — avoid driving initially
-
Avoid alcohol (may enhance BP-lowering effect)
-
Use during pregnancy/breastfeeding only on doctor’s advice

Do not stop Atenolol suddenly, especially if you have heart disease
Side effects:

Slow heartbeat
-
Low BP, dizziness
-
Fatigue, weakness
-
Swelling of feet/ankles (due to Amlodipine)

Cold hands/feet
-
Sleep disturbances (rare)
