Amodep-TMH Tablet

Description

Uses:

• Treats high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Triple combination gives stronger BP control

  • Telmisartan: Relaxes blood vessels

  • Amlodipine: Widens arteries & improves blood flow

  • Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ): Removes excess salt & water

• Helps reduce risk of heart attack, stroke & kidney damage

Dosage:

• Usually one tablet daily

• Taken exactly as prescribed

• Dose may be adjusted depending on BP response

• Do not stop suddenly

How to use:

• Take at the same time each day

• Swallow with water; may be taken with or without food

• Continue even if BP becomes normal

• Regular BP monitoring is essential

Precautions:

• Not safe in pregnancy (Telmisartan)

• Inform doctor if you have kidney disease, liver issues, heart failure, or dehydration

• May cause dizziness — avoid driving initially

• Avoid alcohol (can lower BP further)

• HCTZ may reduce potassium — doctor may monitor electrolytes

• Amlodipine may cause ankle swelling

Side effects:

• Low BP, dizziness

• Swelling of feet/ankles

• Frequent urination (due to HCTZ)

• Headache, tiredness

• Muscle cramps

• Increased potassium or decreased sodium (rare)

• Increased blood sugar (rare)
