Description

Uses

• Treats high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Helps prevent heart attack, stroke, and heart failure

• Used in chest pain (angina)

• Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels, and Atenolol slows heart rate → together they control BP effectively

Dosage

• Usually taken once daily

• Doctor decides the exact dose based on BP levels and heart rate

• Do not stop suddenly — may cause sudden rise in BP or heart issues

How to Use

• Take with or without food

• Swallow the tablet whole with water

• Take at the same time every day

• Continue long-term as prescribed, even if you feel normal

Precautions

• Avoid alcohol — increases dizziness and lowers BP too much

• Use cautiously in asthma, COPD, diabetes, thyroid issues, heart block, or liver problems

• Atenolol may mask signs of low blood sugar in diabetics

• Inform doctor if taking other BP, heart, or thyroid medicines

• Not recommended during pregnancy unless essential
