ANin Tablet

Description

ANin Tablet contains Allylestrenol (5mg), a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone. Unlike Hydroxyprogesterone injections, Allylestrenol is taken orally and is mainly prescribed for pregnancy-related complications. It helps maintain a healthy pregnancy in women who are at risk of miscarriage, threatened abortion, or preterm labor.

Allylestrenol works by supporting the endometrium (lining of the uterus), relaxing uterine muscles, and stabilizing progesterone levels that are essential for fetal development. It is different from other synthetic progestins as it has very minimal androgenic (male hormone-like) or estrogenic effects, making it safer in pregnancy.

Uses

• Prevention and treatment of threatened abortion (risk of miscarriage with bleeding/cramps)

• Management of recurrent miscarriage caused by progesterone deficiency

• Prevention of preterm labor by reducing uterine contractions

• Supportive therapy in intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) and pregnancy-induced hypertension in some cases

How to Use
ANin Tablet is taken orally with or without food, usually once or twice daily, as prescribed by the doctor. The dose and duration depend on the woman’s medical condition and pregnancy history. It should be swallowed whole with water and not chewed or crushed.

Dosage
Typical dosage is 5–10mg two to three times a day, but the exact schedule is determined by the doctor. Treatment often continues until the risk of miscarriage or preterm labor is controlled, and in some cases may be advised until late pregnancy.

Possible Side Effects
Most women tolerate ANin Tablet well. Some possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, mild headache, dizziness, bloating, breast tenderness, or fatigue. Rarely, mood changes, allergic skin reactions, or changes in liver function may occur. Serious side effects are uncommon but require medical attention.

Precautions

• Not suitable for women with liver disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, hormone-dependent cancers, or history of blood clots.

• Caution is advised in patients with diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy, kidney or heart disease.

• Should only be used during pregnancy if prescribed by a doctor; safety during breastfeeding has limited data.

• Regular follow-ups may be required to monitor maternal and fetal health during therapy.

• Avoid smoking, alcohol, and stress as they may increase pregnancy risks.
