Arbitel-CT 80 Tablet

Description

Uses:

• Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Telmisartan (80mg) relaxes and widens blood vessels

• Chlorthalidone (12.5mg) helps remove excess salt and water

• Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage

Dosage:

• Usually one tablet daily

• Dose is decided by the doctor based on BP levels

• Must be taken regularly for effective control

How to use:

• Can be taken with or without food

• Prefer morning dose because of diuretic effect

• Drink enough water unless doctor advises otherwise

• Do not stop suddenly even if BP becomes normal

Precautions:

• Not recommended during pregnancy

• Use cautiously in kidney, liver, or heart conditions

• Can cause electrolyte imbalance (Na⁺/K⁺/Mg²⁺)

• Avoid alcohol — increases dizziness

• May cause dehydration, especially with heat or sweating

• Monitor BP, kidney function, and electrolytes regularly

Side effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Increased urination

• Low potassium or sodium

• Fatigue or weakness

• Muscle cramps

• Nausea

• Increased uric acid (possible gout)

• Dry mouth or dehydration
