Atchol 10 Tablet

Description

Atchol 10 Tablet contains Atorvastatin, a statin class medication used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. By inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, Atorvastatin reduces the production of cholesterol in the liver, which helps prevent atherosclerosis, heart attacks, and stroke.

Uses

• Lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol

• Increases HDL (good) cholesterol

• Reduces triglyceride levels

• Prevents cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and angina

• Used in patients with high cholesterol, familial hypercholesterolemia, or high cardiovascular risk

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Headache

• Muscle pain or weakness

• Nausea or stomach discomfort

• Diarrhea or constipation

• Mild liver enzyme elevation

Serious but rare side effects:

• Severe muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis)
