Description

Atorniz-C Tablet/Capsule is a three-drug combination used for strong protection against heart attack, stroke, and vascular events in high-risk patients—such as those with established heart disease, previous angioplasty/bypass, diabetes, or multiple cardiac risk factors.

How it Works / Key Benefits

  • Atorvastatin (Statin): Lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and total cholesterol, raises HDL, and reduces triglycerides by inhibiting hepatic cholesterol synthesis; also helps stabilize plaques in blood vessels and has anti-inflammatory effects.

  • Clopidogrel (Antiplatelet): Blocks platelets from clumping together, thus reducing risk of blood clot formation inside arteries.

  • Aspirin (Antiplatelet): Irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase, blocking platelet aggregation and further reducing clot risk; its enteric coating protects the stomach from direct irritation.

  • The triple combination offers powerful dual antiplatelet effect plus aggressive lipid management to maximize cardiovascular event prevention.

Uses / Indications

  • Secondary prevention of heart attack and stroke in patients with atherosclerotic heart or vascular disease

  • After stenting, angioplasty, or coronary bypass surgery

  • In diabetics or those with high cholesterol and high risk for cardiovascular events

Dosage & Administration

  • One capsule/tablet daily, with or after food (typical dose: Atorvastatin 10 mg + Clopidogrel 75 mg + Aspirin 75 mg)

  • Swallow whole; do not chew or crush

Safety & Precautions

  • Common side effects: mild GI upset, nausea, stomach pain, bleeding or bruising, headache, muscle pain, dizziness.

  • Rare but serious: gastrointestinal or intracranial bleeding, liver dysfunction, muscle breakdown (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis), allergic reactions, severe fatigue, yellowing of the skin/eyes.

  • Not recommended for use in patients with active GI ulcers, bleeding disorders, severe liver or kidney disease, or asthma

  • Avoid use in pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Monitor for unexplained bleeding, black/tarry stools, jaundice, or severe weakness—contact doctor promptly if they occur

  • Avoid alcohol and inform your doctor about all medications and supplements

Note:
Atorniz-C is prescribed for long-term use in high-risk cardiac patients—continue lifestyle modifications and regular medical follow-up. Do not skip or abruptly stop unless advised by your physician.
