Description

Uses

• Pneumonia, bronchitis & severe respiratory infections

• Throat & sinus infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Bone & joint infections

• Abdominal infections

• Post-surgical infections

• Effective against beta-lactamase–producing resistant bacteria

Dosage

• Given intravenously (IV) by a healthcare professional.

• Usual adult dose: 1.2g every 6–8 hours, as prescribed.

• Dose may change in kidney impairment or severe infections.

How to Use

• Administered only by nurses/doctors.

• Reconstituted with sterile fluid before injection.

• Infused slowly to avoid irritation or reactions.

• Complete the full antibiotic course during hospital treatment.

Precautions

• Avoid if allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins.

• Inform doctor if you have kidney/liver issues.

• Can cause diarrhea—stay hydrated.

• Not for viral infections (cold/flu).

• Use with caution in pregnancy & breastfeeding.
