Dosage

Dose depends on child’s weight, age, and infection severity.

Given intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) by a trained healthcare professional.

Frequency: usually every 6–8 hours, as advised by the doctor.
How to Use

Administered only by nurses/doctors in a clinic or hospital.

Not for self-injection.

Child should be monitored for allergic reactions during and after injection.
Precautions

Not to be used in children allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins.
