Description
Aztor 80 Tablet is a prescription medicine manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. It contains Atorvastatin (80mg), a potent statin medication that works by blocking the action of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver.
This high-dose formulation is generally prescribed to patients with severe hyperlipidemia, those who are at a very high risk of cardiovascular complications, or in cases where lower doses (10mg, 20mg, 40mg) are not sufficient to achieve target lipid levels.
By reducing bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides while increasing good cholesterol (HDL), Aztor 80 helps protect against arterial plaque buildup and improves long-term heart health.
