Description

Uses:
Azulix SM 50mg/2mg/1000mg Tablet IR is used for Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines three mechanisms:

• Sitagliptin (50mg): boosts incretin hormones to increase insulin and reduce glucagon post-meals.

• Glimepiride (2mg): stimulates insulin release from the pancreas.

• Metformin (1000mg): decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

This triple combination is prescribed when single or dual therapy does not adequately control blood sugar.

Dosage:

• Usually 1 tablet once daily, or as directed by the doctor.

• Take with meals to reduce stomach upset and hypoglycemia risk.

How to Use:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew (IR = immediate release).

• Maintain regular meal timings.

• Follow diet and exercise recommendations for best blood sugar control.

Precautions:

• Monitor blood sugar frequently.

• Avoid alcohol; increases risk of low blood sugar and affects diabetes control.
