Description

Uses:
Betacard-AM 5mg/50mg Tablet is used for:

• High blood pressure (Hypertension)

• Angina (chest pain)

This combination contains:

• Amlodipine (5mg): a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

• Atenolol (50mg): a beta-blocker that slows heart rate and reduces heart workload.

Dosage:

• Usually 1 tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the doctor.

• Can be taken with or without food.

How to Use:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Take at the same time each day.

• Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Precautions:

• Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly.

• Inform your doctor if you have heart failure, asthma, or diabetes.

• Avoid abrupt discontinuation; may worsen heart conditions.

• Not recommended in pregnancy unless prescribed.

Side Effects:

• Dizziness, fatigue

• Slow heart rate

• Swelling of feet or ankles

• Nausea, headache

• Rare: shortness of breath or severe hypotension
