Description
BUDEcort 1mg Respules contain Budesonide, a corticosteroid medication used to treat and manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the airways, helping you breathe more easily. The medicine is administered through a nebulizer, allowing direct delivery of the drug to the lungs for faster and more effective relief from wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.
Uses:
-
Long-term treatment of asthma
-
Management of COPD symptoms
-
Prevention of airway inflammation and constriction
How to Use:
BUDEcort Respules are for inhalation use only via a nebulizer. Do not swallow or inject the liquid. Pour the contents of one respule (2ml) into the nebulizer chamber and inhale the mist through the mouth as directed by your doctor. After use, rinse your mouth and face with water to prevent irritation and oral fungal infection (thrush).
Dosage:
The usual recommended dose is one respule (2ml) once or twice daily, depending on the severity of symptoms and as advised by your healthcare provider. Do not discontinue the medication abruptly without medical consultation.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, diabetes, liver disorders, fungal or viral infections, or osteoporosis. Avoid exposure to people with contagious illnesses like chickenpox or measles. This medicine is not intended for emergency asthma attacks — keep a rescue inhaler for quick relief. Use cautiously during pregnancy and breastfeeding, only under medical supervision.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include throat irritation, cough, hoarseness, dry mouth, nasal congestion, and oral thrush. Rinsing your mouth after each dose helps reduce these effects. Seek immediate medical help if you experience difficulty in breathing, chest tightness, or severe allergic reactions.
