Description
BUDEcort 200 Inhaler is a corticosteroid-based medicine used for the management and prevention of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Budesonide, which works by reducing inflammation and swelling in the airways, helping to prevent asthma attacks and improve breathing. With regular use, it helps maintain better lung function and control symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
Uses:
-
Long-term control and prevention of asthma symptoms
-
Management of COPD and related breathing disorders
-
Reduces airway inflammation and prevents recurrence of asthma attacks
How to Use:
Shake the inhaler well before each use. Exhale completely, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press the inhaler once while inhaling deeply and slowly. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then exhale gently. Rinse your mouth with water after each use to prevent irritation and oral fungal infection (thrush). Follow your doctor’s instructions for proper technique and dosing.
Dosage:
The typical recommended dose is 1–2 inhalations twice daily, depending on your condition and response to treatment. Do not exceed the prescribed dose or stop using the inhaler suddenly without medical advice.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have tuberculosis, liver disease, diabetes, infections, or osteoporosis. Avoid contact with people who have contagious infections like chickenpox or measles. This inhaler is not suitable for emergency asthma relief — always keep a rescue inhaler for sudden attacks. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only under medical supervision.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include throat irritation, hoarseness, cough, dry mouth, and oral thrush (fungal infection). Rinsing your mouth after use can help prevent these effects. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience worsening breathing, chest tightness, or allergic reactions.
