Description

Cacit 500mg Tablet is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat various types of cancer, including colorectal, breast, and stomach cancers. It contains Capecitabine, an oral prodrug that is converted into 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in the body, which inhibits cancer cell growth and replication.

How it Works:

• Capecitabine interferes with DNA synthesis in rapidly dividing cancer cells, leading to cell death and tumor shrinkage.

• Being an oral formulation, it allows for convenient administration at home under medical supervision.

Dosage:

• Take as prescribed by your oncologist, usually twice daily with water within 30 minutes after a meal.

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

• Fatigue and weakness

• Hand-foot syndrome (redness, swelling, or pain on palms/soles)

• Low blood cell counts, increasing infection risk

• Rare allergic reactions
