Description

Cosart-25 Tablet is a prescription medicine manufactured by Cipla Ltd. It contains Losartan Potassium 25mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and protect the kidneys in certain patients.

Losartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a chemical that causes blood vessels to constrict. This relaxes and widens the blood vessels, reduces blood pressure, and improves blood flow. It also helps reduce the risk of stroke and heart complications in patients with hypertension and protects kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: Usually 25mg once daily, which may be increased depending on blood pressure response
