Description
Cosart-50 Tablet is a prescription antihypertensive medicine manufactured by Cipla Ltd. It contains Losartan Potassium 50mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and protect vital organs like the heart and kidneys.
Losartan works by blocking angiotensin II, a substance that causes blood vessels to constrict. By relaxing and widening the blood vessels, Cosart-50 reduces blood pressure, improves blood flow, and decreases the workload on the heart. It also helps protect kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria and reduces the risk of stroke in hypertensive patients.
