Description

CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet ER is a combination of Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker, and Chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and manage fluid retention (edema). Metoprolol works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the heart’s workload, while Chlorthalidone helps remove excess fluid, together providing effective blood pressure control and reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and heart-related complications.

Dosage & How to Use:

• Usually taken once daily, preferably in the morning with or without food.

• Swallow the extended-release tablet whole, do not crush or chew.

• Dosage may vary depending on the patient’s condition, age, and response. Follow the doctor’s instructions.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have heart failure, asthma, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, or electrolyte imbalance.

• Do not stop the medication suddenly; this can worsen heart problems.

• Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, and kidney function regularly.
