Description

Dapavel 5mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine used to manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It contains Dapagliflozin (5mg), a medication from the class of SGLT2 (Sodium-Glucose Co-Transporter 2) inhibitors, which helps lower blood sugar levels by promoting the excretion of excess glucose through urine.

Dapagliflozin works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, allowing it to be removed from the body via urine. This helps in maintaining healthy blood glucose levels and also supports weight reduction and blood pressure control in diabetic patients.

Dapavel 5mg Tablet is generally used as an adjunct to diet and exercise and may be prescribed alone or in combination with other anti-diabetic medicines like metformin, glimepiride, or insulin.

  • Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
