Description

DAPZIGARD-10 VDM Tablet is a triple fixed-dose oral antidiabetic for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially when control is insufficient with single or dual agents.

Uses / Indications

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus: Helps manage high blood sugar in adults when diet, exercise, or dual therapy are inadequate.

• Reduces risk of diabetes complications such as heart disease, kidney impairment, nerve issues, and vision loss.

How it Works / Key Benefits

• Dapagliflozin: Increases urinary glucose excretion via SGLT2 inhibition, helping lower fasting and post-meal sugar and supporting weight/BP reduction.

• Vildagliptin (SR): DPP-4 inhibitor—enhances insulin secretion and reduces glucagon, addressing postprandial sugar surges with prolonged action.

• Metformin (SR): Reduces hepatic sugar production, improves insulin sensitivity, and lowers GI glucose uptake, providing strong basal glucose control and fewer GI effects.

Dosage & Administration

• Take one tablet daily with or after food, always as prescribed by your physician; swallow whole—do not crush or split.

Safety & Side Effects

• Common: Vaginal/genital fungal infection, urinary tract infection, increased urination, diarrhea, headache, nausea, vomiting.
