DELZOWEL-30

DELZOWEL-30 contains Duloxetine 30 mg in an enteric-coated (EC) tablet, delivered in a blister pack. Duloxetine is a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) widely used for various neurological, mood, and pain-related disorders.

Uses of DELZOWEL-30

• Major depressive disorder

• Generalized anxiety disorder

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain

• Fibromyalgia

• Chronic musculoskeletal pain (such as lower back pain, osteoarthritis).

How DELZOWEL-30 Works

Duloxetine increases serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain and nervous system. This helps improve mood, alleviate anxiety, and modulate pain signals, reducing the intensity of nerve and musculoskeletal pain.

Dosage and Administration

• For depression, anxiety, and pain, initial dosage is often 30 mg once daily for 1 week to assess tolerability, then increased to 60 mg daily if needed.

• Maintenance doses typically range from 30–60 mg daily; some patients may benefit from higher doses, but doses above 60 mg/day rarely provide extra benefits and tend to increase side effects.

• Take tablets whole, not chewed or crushed, at the same time each day with or without food.

Side Effects

• Nausea, dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, dizziness

• Increased sweating, constipation, decreased appetite

• Raised blood pressure, sexual side effects, insomnia

• Higher risk of withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly.

Precautions and Warnings

• Taper dose gradually under a doctor’s supervision to avoid withdrawal symptoms

• Caution in people with liver/renal impairment, uncontrolled hypertension, glaucoma, or history of mania/bipolar disorder

• Inform doctor about other medications as serious interactions can occur (e.g., MAO inhibitors, certain antidepressants).
