Dronis 20 Tablet

Description

Dronis 20 Tablet is a combination oral contraceptive containing Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02mg), an estrogen, and Drospirenone (3mg), a progestin. It is primarily used to prevent pregnancy and regulate menstrual cycles. This combination works by inhibiting ovulation, altering cervical mucus to prevent sperm penetration, and changing the uterine lining to prevent implantation.

Uses:

• Contraception (prevention of pregnancy)

• Regulation of menstrual cycles and reduction of menstrual irregularities

• Management of acne in women (if prescribed)

• Treatment of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in some cases

Dosage:

• Take 1 tablet daily at the same time each day, following the prescribed cycle (usually 21 days of active tablets followed by a 7-day tablet-free period).

• Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.

• Missed doses should be managed as per doctor’s instructions.

Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting

• Headache, breast tenderness

• Mood changes

• Weight changes, bloating

• Rare: blood clots, high blood pressure, liver problems

Precautions:

• Not suitable for women with history of blood clots, stroke, liver disease, or hormone-sensitive cancers.

• Avoid smoking while using, especially over age 35.

• Inform your doctor of any medications being taken to avoid interactions.

• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed.

• Regular check-ups are advised to monitor blood pressure and overall health.
