Description

DROZIVER-80 contains Drotaverine Hydrochloride 80 mg per tablet, provided in a blister pack. Drotaverine is an antispasmodic medication that relieves pain and discomfort caused by smooth muscle spasms in the abdomen, pelvis, and various other organ systems.

Uses of DROZIVER-80

• Relief of abdominal pain and cramping due to gastrointestinal (GI) and urinary tract smooth muscle spasms

• Pain and cramps related to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gallstones, or kidney stones

• Management of painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), spastic constipation, and tenesmus (persistent urge to defecate)

• Sometimes used in certain peripheral vascular disorders or as adjunct to other therapies for smooth muscle relaxation.

How DROZIVER-80 Works

Drotaverine is a spasmolytic (smooth muscle relaxant) that acts by inhibiting phosphodiesterase-4, blocking muscle contractions and helping muscles to relax. This leads to relief from pain, bloating, and colicky discomfort.
