Description
FORAcort Forte Rotacap is a combination medication used for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles to make breathing easier, and Budesonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling in the lungs. This combination helps prevent asthma attacks, reduces breathlessness, and improves overall lung function when used regularly.
Uses:
-
Long-term treatment of asthma
-
Management and prevention of COPD symptoms
-
Reduces inflammation and improves airflow in the lungs
How to Use:
FORAcort Forte Rotacaps are designed for use only with a Rotahaler device. Do not swallow the capsule. Insert it into the Rotahaler, inhale deeply through the mouth, hold your breath for a few seconds, and then exhale slowly. Always rinse your mouth with water after inhalation to prevent fungal infections in the mouth and throat.
Dosage:
The typical recommended dose is one Rotacap twice daily, or as prescribed by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Do not stop using this medicine abruptly, as it may worsen breathing symptoms.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, diabetes, liver disease, or tuberculosis. This medicine is not meant for the relief of sudden asthma attacks — keep a rescue inhaler available. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical supervision.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include throat irritation, cough, hoarseness, headache, nausea, tremors, and oral thrush (fungal infection). Rinsing your mouth after every use can help minimize these effects. Seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or worsening breathing problems.
