Description
Foracort G Inhaler is a triple-combination inhaler used for the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains Glycopyrrolate, a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that helps keep the airways open, Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, and Budesonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the lungs. This combination helps improve airflow, prevent wheezing and breathlessness, and control long-term respiratory symptoms.
Uses:
-
Long-term management of asthma
-
Maintenance treatment of COPD
-
Helps prevent airway inflammation, bronchospasm, and breathing difficulty
How to Use:
Shake the inhaler well before use. Exhale completely, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press the inhaler once while inhaling deeply and slowly. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds before exhaling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water after each use to prevent throat irritation or oral fungal infections. Use the inhaler at the same time each day as prescribed by your doctor.
Dosage:
The usual recommended dose is 1–2 puffs twice daily, depending on the severity of the condition and your doctor’s instructions. Do not exceed the prescribed dose and do not stop the medication abruptly.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, liver disorders, or tuberculosis. Not intended for immediate relief during acute asthma attacks — keep a rescue inhaler handy. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding under medical supervision.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include dry mouth, throat irritation, cough, headache, tremors, nausea, and oral thrush (fungal infection). Rinsing your mouth after each use reduces side effects. Seek medical help immediately if you experience chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or worsening breathing difficulty.
