Description

Main Uses
Gabapin NT Tablet is mainly prescribed to relieve nerve-related pain (neuropathic pain) caused by:

  • Diabetes (diabetic neuropathy) – nerve damage leading to burning or tingling pain in the hands and feet

  • Postherpetic neuralgia – pain that persists after shingles infection

  • Spinal cord or nerve injury–related pain

  • Other chronic nerve pain conditions

It helps reduce shooting, burning, or stabbing pain and improves sleep, mood, and overall comfort.

How It Works:
This medicine combines two active ingredients for stronger nerve pain relief:

  • Gabapentin – reduces abnormal nerve signals and calms the nerves.

  • Nortriptyline – an antidepressant that enhances mood and strengthens the pain-relieving effect by balancing brain chemicals.

Together, they provide long-lasting relief from nerve pain and help patients feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Dosage:

  • Usually taken once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor.

  • The dose may be gradually increased depending on your response.

  • Take it at the same time every day for best effect.

  • Do not stop suddenly without your doctor’s advice, as symptoms can return or worsen.

How to Use:

  • Take the tablet by mouth with water, with or without food.

  • Swallow it whole — do not crush or chew.

  • If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. Skip it if it’s almost time for the next one.

Precautions:

  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, heart disease, or mental health concerns.

  • Avoid alcohol, as it increases dizziness and drowsiness.

  • Avoid driving or operating machines until you know how the medicine affects you.

  • Use cautiously during pregnancy or breastfeeding; take only if prescribed.

  • Tell your doctor right away if you notice mood changes, sadness, or anxiety.

Side Effects:

  • Blurred vision

Serious (rare):
